Resources / Future-workflow readiness

Define an explicit gate before adding patient workflows

Make future activation depend on evidence instead of a sales milestone.

01

The operational decision

Make future activation depend on evidence instead of a sales milestone. A future workflow needs a separate decision from the current information-only pilot. Listing a possible next stage does not make the technical connection, agreements or operational safeguards exist.

02

Prepare the workflow

Use a written decision record covering scope, agreements, safeguards, tests and accountable approval; a payment or successful demo is not that record.

03

Example wording for approval

“The proposed patient workflow remains disabled. Activation requires the separate written readiness decision and successful tests for the exact agreed process.”

04

Worked example

The fictional project has paid its setup fee and completed a voice demonstration, but the proposed scheduling connection has not passed a cancellation test. The activation record should remain incomplete for that patient workflow. Commercial progress should not turn an unchecked capability on. Show each prerequisite, its evidence and approving role separately; a single ready badge conceals which part is unresolved. The existing public-information pilot can be reviewed on its own scope without claiming the future workflow is active.

05

Handoff record

Record these task-specific fields: gate item, evidence link, approving role, unresolved issue.

06

Acceptance check

Mark the project paid but leave an integration test incomplete. The activation decision should remain pending rather than treating payment as authorization.
